Kris has dedicated 32 years of his life to HVAC, starting from the bottom as a helper and working his way up to becoming a lead installer. When he moved to Raleigh, he took on the challenge of starting a new division, training a team from scratch, and handling multiple roles during the startup. 

After completing projects in Raleigh, he boldly decided to relocate with his team to Charlotte to continue working with the general contractors. Despite joining a smaller company, he remained focused on building it into a thriving business. He honed his skills in leadership and client relations.

Amid the 2008 Recession, he made the courageous decision to start his own HVAC business in 2010. Despite challenging circumstances, he leveraged his connections and expertise, eventually growing the business to over 70 million in active contracts by 2020. Following the sale of his previous HVAC business, he remained connected to the company as a minority owner for the next 3 years.

In 2023, he let go of his ownership and took a break. During this time, he realized he needed to pursue his passion and start another company. Thus, F1 Mechanical was born. His objective is to pursue Residential and Commercial New Construction, as well as Residential and Commercial Service. The aim is to establish a new standard in the HVAC industry. 

In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family. Kris also enjoys playing drums and listening to music. Additionally, he has a fascinating hobby of building and maintaining saltwater aquariums.

Matt's extensive field experience is a valuable asset to any job site. From managing crane lifts at dawn to handling urgent late-night start-ups, he has demonstrated his expertise in New Construction HVAC over seven years. Starting as a helper, Matt's determination and ambition have propelled him to the position of VP of Operations at F1 Mechanical. 

Under Matt's guidance and adept field knowledge, F1 Mechanical has ventured into new markets, including Single Family custom homes and commercial installations. 

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Matt enjoys bass fishing and spending quality time with his family. 

As the Vice President of Project Engineering at F1 Mechanical, Steve brings a wealth of experience to the HVAC industry. With a strong background in mechanical engineering and a passion for innovative solutions, Steve leads a talented team dedicated to delivering top-notch, energy-efficient HVAC systems. 

Under Steve's leadership, F1 Mechanical has executed numerous successful projects, making spaces more comfortable and sustainable for clients across different sectors. Steve is dedicated to driving technological advancements and upholding the highest standards of excellence in every project. 

When away from the office, Steve enjoys grilling out and taking his boat out on Lake Norman. He is also very family-oriented, loves to fish and spend time with friends. 

Cristhian has accumulated more than a decade of valuable experience in estimating multi-million dollar projects in the mechanical/HVAC field. His extensive expertise spans various applications, including healthcare facilities, data centers, airports, industrial plants, and commercial industries. His proficiency lies in delivering accurate estimates for projects involving the replacement and installation of various HVAC equipment such as cooling towers, chillers, boilers, and building automation systems. Additionally, he has a proven track record in overseeing complex projects, ensuring precise estimations and successful project outcomes. 

Derek, with 19 years of HVAC experience and ongoing military service, is the Service Director at F1 Mechanical. He excels in overseeing HVAC system installations, maintenance, and repair for commercial and residential applications. 

Starting his career in 2004 with the US Air Force, Derek's technical expertise and leadership skills have earned him a reputation for improving system efficiencies and reducing operational costs. F1 Mechanical, under his leadership, prioritizes professional development and consistently achieves high customer satisfaction. 

In addition to technical skills, Derek is known for his strong management capabilities and for fostering a collaborative work environment. When not managing a home or business comfort, Derek enjoys military duties, family, travel, physical activities, playing the drums, reading, and life! Layne, with over 8 years in the HVAC industry, currently serves as the HVAC Assistant Service Director at F1 Mechanical. He excels in leading a team of technicians to ensure top-notch service and customer satisfaction. 

Starting as an HVAC Service Technician, Layne advanced his skills and transitioned into management, overseeing operations and implementing best practices. Holding multiple certifications, including EPA, Trane Link, and Mitsubishi VRF Service and Install, Layne remains dedicated to staying informed about industry advancements. 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, often found fishing or boating along the Ogeechee River.

As an Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist at F1 Mechanical, Ashlyn manages the company’s cash flow, tracks receivables and payables, and excels in invoicing, payment processing, and customer account reconciliation. Her dedication significantly contributes to F1 Mechanical's financial health and stability.

In her free-time Ashlyn enjoys spending time with her family. She has a passion for cooking and loves hosting family dinners. She is also the youngest daughter of  F1 Mechanical's owner, Kris Foutch. 

As marketing director of F1 Mechanical, Lauryn leads teams to boost sales. She manages communication, marketing strategies, campaigns, budgets, and competitor analysis, while also overseeing the company's image online and offline.  

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her cats at home and making memories with her family. She also likes listening to music and watching movies. Lauryn is the proud wife of F1 Mechanical's VP of Operations, Matt Thornley. And she is the eldest daughter of F1 Mechanical's owner, Kris Foutch.
